Today (Sunday, Nov. 20) is the second day of Wisconsin's 2005 deer hunting season. We were startled to see an orange-clothed man in our yard this morning. (We are out in the country with 10 acres of land.) The man claimed that he was lost. Judith called the sheriff, and a deputy came within the hour. He said he was at another call -- deer hunter in someone's yard -- when he was notified of our problem.
Last year on the second day of the Wisconsin deer hunting season a Hmong man shot and killed six people after he was confronted by someone who told him he was on private propery and he said that he was lost.
